BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College men's head soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Josh Reed, a native of Hextable, England, has signed his National Letter of Intent, and plans on joining the Bulldog program in time for preseason camp this month. 

Reed, a forward, prepped at Leigh Technology Academy in his home country, where he was the captain for the boy's soccer team the last two seasons. This past year, Reed led the squad to an undefeated season, as he was the School League's leading scorer. Reed also clubbed with Erith and Belvedere FC, and was selected to take part in the Mike Delaney Skill School of Excellence.

"We are very excited to have Josh joining our program," said Brock. "Anytime you can have league top scorer get added to your program, that is always is a plus. When we saw Josh perform we were very impressed with his work ethic up top and ability to create goal scoring opportunities.

"Josh should be able to come in and compete for an important role on the team. We are looking forward to seeing how he matures, grows and develops over the next several years hear at Union."

The Bulldogs kick-off their 2013 season on Aug. 30, hosting Emmanuel (Ga.) as part of the 2013 Thomas Trammel Memorial Classic.
