BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head softball coach Becky Bishop has announced that Chandler Overton, a native of Nashville, Tenn., has signed her National Letter of Intent and will join the Lady Bulldog program this fall.

Overton will join the Union program after prepping at Ensworth High School in Nashville, playing center field and in the middle infield. There, Overton was an All-Regional and Division II All-Midstate First Team selection. In her senior season at Ensworth this past year, Overton led the team in slugging percentage and stolen bases, earning the team's Most Valuable Player and Best Offensive Player awards at the end of the season.

Overton has also played travel ball with Nashville's Team Worth 95, helping the team clinch a birth in the upcoming ASA Fast Pitch Girls 18-Under Gold Eastern Tournament to be played in Virginia Beach, Va. next month.

The Lady Bulldogs are members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
