BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College men's head soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Steve Moore has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog program this fall.

Moore is a product of Clacton County High School in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, United Kingdom. This past season, he was team captain on the school's soccer team, leading them to their best season in program history. The midfielder/defender also currently clubs with FC Clacton (where he is also team captain), and has clubbed in the past with Colchester United.

"Steve is quality defender than seems to be very patient on the ball and has the ability to play in the midfield, as well," said Brock. "He brings a physical presence to the game.  He is a good at winning and challenging for balls in the air defensively and when he gets forward in the attack for set pieces, he has an ability to find the ball.

"We are very excited to see what Steve can become of the next 4 years, both on pitch and in the classroom."

Moore, the son of Jane and Gary Hazell, plans to major in business management at Union College.
