BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Jamie Mclellan has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog program this fall.

Mclellan will join the UC program from Cheshire, England. The 6-foot-3, 175 pound product will play in both the midfield and on defense when he joins the program.

"We have been working with Jamie since August and we are very excited to have him join the program.," said Brock. "Jamie brings a calm and collected style of play that will enable us to build our attack through the midfield. He also does a good job of breaking play defensively. He has great size to him and I am anxious to see what we can do when we get him into the weight room.

"Jamie is great addition that I feel is going to help our program build and grow to another level over the next four years."

In his native country, Mclellan has prepped at St. James High School, while clubbing with Altrincham FC in the Premier Division. At St. James, Mclellan won the school's PE award for four years running, and was the soccer team captain this past season. Mclellan has also clubbed with Macclesfield Town FC and Accrington Stanley FC throughout his career, as well.

Mclellan, the son of Alan and Joanne Mclellan, plans to major in sports management at Union College.
