BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head's men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Forrest Schmitt has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog program this fall.

Schmitt, a forward, comes to UC from Grant County High School in Dry Ridge, Ky. There, he played on the school's boys soccer team, scoring 19 goals in his senior season to set a new single season scoring record at the school. For his efforts, Schmitt was a All- Northern Kentucky High School Honorable Mention pick, and was named to the 32nd District All-Tournament Team.

Schmitt, who has clubbed with the Northern Kentucky Soccer Alliance, plans to play forward for the Bulldogs.

"We are very excited about Forrest joining our program," said Brock. "He brings in some good size up top and a great work rate. Forrest has a nice touch on the ball, and can help the team build and grow the attack though the midfield."

The Bulldogs are members of both the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
