OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Union College men's and women's swimming teams got their trip to the NAIA National Championships off a to a good start Wednesday night, as Travis Strachan and Kayla Yokley were named NAIA Champions of Character award winners.

Both Strachan and Yokley garnered the honor for representing and embracing the Five Core Values of the NAIA, which are respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

The Bulldog and Lady Bulldog swim teams begin action at the National meet today, and will continue to do so through Saturday evening. In the pool, Strachan will represent UC in three events (the 50 and 100-free, and 100-fly), while Yokley will also compete in three events (50, 100, and 200-free).
