BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's soccer coach Camila Mendes has announced that Kayla Mundell has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Lady Bulldog program this fall. 

Mundell, a native of Fayetteville, N.C., has played in the midfield and at defender at Terry Sanford High School, and for the Omega Select Club Team.

During her junior season at Terry Sanford, Mundell was an All-State and All-Conference selection, and has been honored three-times as a  AAA Scholar-Athlete for her work in the classroom. Mundell has also earned the Coaches Award during her prep career, as well.

"Kayla is a very versatile player," said Mendes. "She will add a lot to our program with her speed and work ethic. I am very excited about having her in our team."

The Union College women's soccer team, members of the NAIA and the Appalcahian Athletic Conference (AAC), posted an 11-6-1 overall mark in the 2012 season, advancing to the semifinals of the 2012 AAC Tournament.
