GREENCASTLE, Ind.  - The Union College men's and women's track & field teams concluded the 2012-13 indoor portion of their schedule on Saturday, taking part in the Depauw (Ind.) Indoor Classic.

In all, UC student-athletes recorded eight career best marks in events on the day, while three indoor career bests were set, as well. As a team, the women's squad finished eighth in the events, while the men's team placed 12th

On the women's side, Christa Hicks posted the highest finish of the meet for the Lady Bulldogs, placing third with a 15 foot, 6.75 inch effort. In the same event, Feiarra Foster wasn't too far behind, placing seventh (14 feet, 2.50 inches).

In the shot put, Abby Tigue placed seventh with a 30 feet, 10.50 inch toss, while Kayse Cornett was 11th in the event with a 28 foot, .75 inch effort. On the track, Foster had the team's highest finish, placing 15th in the 60m dash (8.79 seconds).

For the men, Matt Francis was seventh in the shot put (42 feet, .50 inch effort), while Frantzy Sejour was ninth in the long jump (18 feet, 10.75 inch leap). Meanwhile, William White finished ninth in two events - the shot put (40 feet, 8.25 inch toss) and the weight throw (40 feet, 1.25 inch effort).

The Union College men's and women's track & field squads return to action on Mar. 22 when they open the outdoor portion of their schedule at the Mt. St. Joseph's meet in Cincinnati, Ohio.
