BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's swimming head coach Rafael Forti has announced that Kellianne Holck has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Lady Bulldog program next fall.

Holck, a native of Island Lake, Ill., plans to swim a variety of events for the Lady Bulldogs when she joins the squad next season.

"I am very excited Kellianne has chosen to join us next season," said Forti. "She will add much needed depth to our distance events, and will be able to swim a large variety of events competitively. She will be an asset not only in the pool, but also in the classroom. She brings in experience in competitive swimming, and I expect her to make a positive impact right away."

Holck has prepped at Wauconda High School in her native Illinois, while also being a member of the Mundelein Mustangs Swim Club. She has swam competitively for eight years, earning top ten honors in six events the USA Swimming Illinois Regional Championships.

In the classroom, Holck has been selected to the Academic High Honor Roll since her freshman year. She is the daughter of Doug and Carol Holck.

The Union College women's swimming team returns to action on Feb. 14, when UC hosts the 2013 Appalachian Swimming & Diving Conference Championships at the Stivers Aquatic Center. The event runs through the 16th of February.
