FINDLAY, Ohio - The Union College men's and women's track & field teams continued their indoor seasons on Friday, taking part in the the Findlay (Ohio) Open held on the campus of The University of Findlay.
For the men, runner Eric Kinman recorded the highest finish of the day in an event for the Bulldogs, placing sixth in the 3000m run with a time of 9:55.94. In field events, Frantzy Sejour was 13th in the long jump with a 17 feet, 11.50 inch effort, while in the shot put, Matt Francis was 16th with a toss of 40 feet, four inches. Francis also had a career best effort in the weight throw at 36 feet. Meanwhile, Josh Cox posted career best marks in both the shot put (36 feet, 8.25 inches) and the weight throw (32 feet, 7.75 inches).
On the women's side, Christa Hicks posted the team's highest finish in the long jump, finishing seventh with a leap of 14 feet, 11.25 inches (mark was also a program record). Teammate Feiarra Foster placed ninth in the same event with a 13 feet, 10.5 inch effort. Rounding out the top finishes on the day for the Lady Bulldogs was Foster's effort in the 60m dash, where she finished 14th after crossing the finish line in 8.77 seconds. Meanwhile, Danielle Jasiewicz hit a career-best time in the 800m run with a time of 3:09.36.
The Union College men's and women's track & field squads return to action on Feb. 16, taking part in the Depauw Classic in Greencastle, Ind.
