BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College men's basketball team plays their first game of the new year on Thursday, traveling to AAC-foe Reinhardt for a conference tilt. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs, 7-6 overall and 1-1 in the AAC, come into Thursday night's game after a pair of exhibition games at NCAA Division-I opponents Liberty (Va.) and Morehead State (Ky.) this past week.

In Union's last game before the Christmas holiday on Dec. 11, the Bulldogs bested UC-Clermont on the road, 85-66. Junior guard Tarik Smith led the way for the Bulldogs in the win, scoring 27 points. For his efforts, Smith was named the AAC Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 17.

Reinhardt comes into the game with a 5-6 overall mark, and is a perfect 2-0 in the AAC on the young season. The Eagles currently boast one of the stronger offenses in all of NAIA Division II, as they are second in the country in three point shots made per game (10.4) and eighth in points per game (85.2).
