KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Union College men's swimming team is ranked fifth in the first NAIA Men's Swimming and Diving Coaches Poll of the 2012-13 season, the organization announced Tuesday.

Sitting on top of the poll is Oklahoma Baptist, collecting four of the five first place votes, and 27 points overall to nab the top spot. Concordia (Calif.) comes in at No. 2 with 17 points, while SCAD Savannah (Ga.) follows at No. 3 collecting 15 points. No. 4 Cumberlands (Ky.) and the Bulldogs round out the rankings with 13 and four points, respectively.

The Union men's team has gotten off to a fast start on the 2012-13 season. This past weekend at the UC Winter Invitational, the Bulldogs went into the Holiday break strong, winning the invite as a team. Overall, the team hit several National Qualifying Cuts, and broke five school records.

The Bulldogs return to the pool on Jan. 12, hosting West Virginia Tech and Bethel (Tenn.) at Stivers Aquatic Center. Action begins at 1 p.m.
