CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Union College women's golf team placed eighth overall, as play concluded at the Lee (Tenn.) Lady Flames Shootout at Cleveland Country Club on Tuesday.

The host Lee captured the team tournament title, while Lee's Madison Alexander and Bryan's (Tenn.) Carrilee Hiers won individual medalist honors after both posting combined two-day scores of 161.

For the Lady Bulldogs individually, Katie Nusz was the top finisher, placing in a tie for 31th, firing an 89 on the final day of the tournament to post a two-day score of 182. Not far behind Nusz was teammate Brittany Zins, who shot a 91 on the final day of play to place in a tie for 33rd (184). 

Rounding out the UC finishers in the tournament were Sydney Smith, who finished in a tie for 40th (188), Ashley Buxton (190), who placed in a tie for 42nd, and Danielle Judd (197), who finished in a tie for 48th. 

The event today concluded Union's fall golf season, as the team will not return to action until the Spring of 2013.
