LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Union freshman Keondrick Daniels is the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announce on Monday.

Also honored were Neil Pawsat of Georgetown (Ky.) as the MSC Offensive Player of the Week and Paramore Tapa of Faulkner (Ala.) as the MSC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Tallahassee, Fla., freshman returned a punt 79 yards for a score and a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown to become the first Bulldog in the program's history to return a punt and kickoff for scores in the same game.

Daniels averaged 40.5 yards per kickoff return and 40 yards per punt return while amassing 242 return yards on the day.

Daniels ranks second in the MSC in both punt and kickoff return yards this season. He averages 13.9 yards per punt return and 29.5 yards per kickoff return. Nationally, Daniels ranks seventh in kickoff return yards per game and ninth in punt return yards per outing.

Union is 3-4 on the season, including 0-1 in the MSC East Division.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday when they pay the Knights of Kentucky Christian a visit. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
