LAURINBURG, N.C. - The Union volleyball team completed its weekend trip through South Carolina and North Carolina with a 3-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference win over host St. Andrews (N.C.) on Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs had little problem in recording the 25-5, 25-19, 25-12 decision.

The win improves Union to 11-12 overall and 7-3 in the AAC, while St. Andrews falls to 3-18 overall and 2-8 in conference play.

Caity Merritt and Paige Moore led Union in kills with 11 and 10, respectively, with Merritt adding four total blocks and Tia Kline registering three. Chandler Gray and Heather Fields posted 19 and 12 assists, respectively, and Brooke Porter notched 15 digs.

Union returns home to face AAC rival Montreat (N.C.) on Wednesday. The Lady Cavaliers handed the Lady Bulldogs a 3-1 loss earlier in the season. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
