MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - Milligan's (Tenn.) Chris Ochieng scored twice, leading the Buffaloes to a 4-1 win over the Union College men's soccer team in Appalachian Athletic Conference action on Saturday evening.

With the loss, Union fell to 2-7 overall, 0-4 in the AAC, while Milligan moved to 8-2, and a perfect 5-0 in the AAC with the win.

In the first half, Milligan was first to crack the scoreboard on a goal by Nahom Tekle in the 19th minute, giving the Buffaloes the early 1-0 lead.

Just three minutes later, Union answered, as sophomore Jonathan Watson scored in the 22nd minute to tie the game up at one. The equalizer by Watson was his sixth of the year, and was scored unassisted.

The tie, however, was short lived, as Milligan took the lead back at 2-1 on a Ochieng's first goal of the night in the 25th minute. Milligan proceeded to hang onto the one-score lead through the next 20 minutes, and held a 2-1 lead going into intermission.

In the second half, Union goalie Madison Justice kept the Bulldogs alive in net, stopping four shots. But, Milligan finally got a shot past him in the 74th minute, as Luca Maia scored the go-ahead goal to make it 3-1.

The game's final goal was scored by Milligan's Ochienig's with just 11 seconds left in regulation, as the Buffaloes collected the three-goal home conference win.

Overall, Milligan outshot Union 17-15 in the contest, while Union held a 4-3 advantage in corners. In defeat, Justice was fantastic, making a career-high nine saves in 79 minutes of work in between the pipes for the Bulldogs.

Union returns to the pitch on Wednesday when they travel to Cumberland (Tenn.) for an out-of-conference match. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. EST.
