WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Cumberlands (Ky.) scored twice in the second half to pull away from the Union College men's soccer team, 3-1, on Wednesday in NAIA action. 

With the defeat, Union fell to 2-6 on the year, while Cumberlands improved to 4-1-1 overall with the victory.

In the first half, Union was first to crack the scoreboard, as Dino Sefer scored a goal in the 25th minute to put the Bulldogs up, 1-0. The goal was the first of the year and Union career for Sefer. 

The lead, however, was short lived, as Cumberlands knotted things up at one in the 29th minute on a goal by Joao Ehlers. The score remained tied at one as the match went into intermission, as Cumberlands outshot the Bulldogs 10-4 in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Cumberlands came out and took the lead in the 49th minute on a goal by Imman Bains. The Patriots added the go-ahead score in the 72nd minute on a goal by Pedro Antonelli to go up by two. From there, Cumberlands coasted down the stretch, on their way to a win over the Bulldogs.

Overall, Cumberlands outshot Union 18-7 in the contest, and held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday evening, when they travel to Milligan (Tenn.) for an AAC contest. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
