ATHENS, Tenn. - The Union College women's golf team sits in third overall after the first round of the 2012 Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational/AAC Fall Tournament. The tournament is being contested at the Springbrook Golf and Country Club.

Overall, the Lady Bulldogs posted a combined score of 344 to sit one shot behind AAC-team leader SCAD-Atlanta (343), and four shots behind overall leader Trevecca Nazerene (Tenn.) (340).

On the individual end, Brittany Zins led the Lady Bulldogs in the first round, firing a 79 (41-38) to place in a tie for third on the individual leaderboard. 

Other finishers for UC included Katie Nusz, who shot an 86 to sit in a tie for 15th overall,  Danielle Judd, who posted an 89 to sit in a tie for 21st, and Kelli Hensley, who shot 90 to finish in a tie for 24th. Ashley Buxton rounded out the Lady Bulldog finishers with a score of 91 to place in a tie for 27th after the first round.

Action concludes at the TWC Invite/AAC Fall Tournament tomorrow.
