WALESKA, Ga.  - Union College forward Sofie Jorgensen scored twice, as the Lady Bulldogs and Reinhardt (Ga.) battled to a 2-2, double overtime, draw in Appalachian Athletic Conference women's soccer action on Saturday.

With the tie, UC went to 3-1-1 on the year overall, 1-0-1 in the AAC, while Reinhardt went to 1-5-1 overall, 0-1-1 in the AAC. 

In the first period, Reinhardt got on the board fast, as Amanda Ducey scored a goal two minutes into regulation to get the Lady Eagles out to the early 1-0 lead. 

UC then evened things up in the 28th minute, as Jorgensen scored her first goal off a Helen Weber assist. The assist for Weber was her second of the year, as the match remained tied at one as it went into the half.

In the second half, Reinhardt went back up by goal with a score by Kristin Clegg in the 59th minute. About seven minutes later, Jorgensen scored the equalizer, unassisted. The goal was her team-leading eighth of the year, and tied things up at two.

From there in regulation, both teams failed to score a game-winner, as the match moved into overtime. 

In the overtime periods, it was more of the same, as UC goalie Stephanie Burton stopped three shots, while RU's Kaliegh Clarke stopped the lone shot on goal for the Lady Bulldogs in the extra frames.With that, after 110 minutes of play, the tie was not broken, and the AAC match ended in a draw.  

Overall, Union outshot Reinhardt 25-24 in the match, while Reinhardt held a 6-4 advantage on corner kicks. UC goalie Burton was terrific in the draw, making 12 total saves to preserve the tie.

The Lady Bulldogs return to the pitch on Wednesday when they host Bryan in an AAC home match. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Burch/Nau Field.
