LONDON, Ky. - The Union men's golf fired a 311 during the final round of the Bill Sergent Invitational at the Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky. on Friday, placing the Bulldogs eighth overall.

Union tallied a two-day score of 610 to tie it with SCAD-Atlanta for eighth place out of 15 teams. Host Cumberlands' (Ky.) A Team won the event with a final score of 578, nine strokes better than Southern Wesleyan (S.C.). Lee (Tenn.) took third with a 588, while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) came in fourth and fifth, respectively, with scores of 596 and 598.

Milligan (Tenn.) placed sixth with an even 600, and Cumberlands' B Team carded a 601 to land seventh. Union and SCAD-Atlanta were next in line in eighth place as Tennessee Wesleyan (618) rounded out the top 10.

Individually, Garrett Bradley led the Bulldogs with a 147 to finish tied for 11th overall. Thomas Scott was next for Union with a 151, while Brady Sharkey carded a 155. Tim Cooper and Richie Meier rounded out Union's scoring with both posting a 162.

Cumberlands' Alastair Tidcombe took medalist honors, firing a tournament-best 139.

Union returns to action on Oct. 1-2 at the Fall Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament in Bristol, Tenn.
