BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Callum Tychowski, a native of Buckingham, England, has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldogs program this fall.

Tychowski, who is a midfielder, will transfer into Union from Burlington Community College in New Jersey, and will have junior eligibility. He also joins his Burlington C.C. teammate Joe Butcher at Union, who was added to this season's recruiting class late last month.

"Callum has the potential to be a special player for us," said Brock. "He has played in the middle of the pitch, and his ability to change the point of the attack, and control the tempo of the game for us, which is going to be very important. I really like that we were fortunate enough to have signed both Joe and Callum from the same school. They will already have a connection and chemistry with each other on the field."

Last season at Burlington, Tychowski was named the school's sophomore Athlete of the Year after playing in 15 matches with a goal and nine assists. He also helped the squad reach a national ranking of 14th, and was named to the All-Region team for his efforts. During his freshman campaign, he played in 13 matches, netting five goals and an assist.

In high school, Tychowski prepped at The Buckingham School in Buckingham..

The Bulldogs, members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference, finished last season with a 10-7-2 overall mark.
