GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Union women's golf team posted a third-place finish at the 2012 Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday at Link Hills Golf and Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

Milligan fired an impressive 332 during the final round to win the championship by 19 strokes. The Buffaloes finished the tournament with a total score of 673, putting them ahead of second-place Reinhardt which posted a 692.Union finished third at 699, while Tennessee Wesleyan was fourth at 716 and Bryan fifth at 753.

Brittany Branker of Milligan took home medalist honors as she was the top-placing individual with a 158. Joining Branker on the All-Tournament Team are Kaitlyn Harville of Milligan, Mackenzie Bruce of Reinhardt, Stephanie Carr of Tennessee Wesleyan and Audrey Nelson of Bryan.

Katie Horn (London, Ky.) led Union with a 173 to put her ninth overall. Katie Nusz (Mount Washington, Ky.) tied for 10th with a 174, and Brittany Zins (Cincinnati, Ohio) was 12th at 175.

Carr is the Player of the Year, while Tony Wallingford of Milligan is the Coach of the Year
