BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Trey Upton, a native of Hopkinsville, Ky., has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog program this fall.

Upton, a goalkeeper, prepped at Hopkinsville High School.

"Trey is an athletic goalie with a lot of upside," said Brock. "He is not only a quality player on the field, but a quality individual off of it.  I am very excited to have him joining our program for next season"

At Hopkinsville, Upton recorded 18 shutout victories in the last two seasons, recording a goals against average of 0.95 in the process. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Region Team this past season, and to the All-District squad in each of the last two seasons.

The Bulldogs, members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference, finished last season with a 10-7-2 overall mark.
