BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union junior Heather Jaques has been tabbed as a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, the NAIA announced Friday.

Jaques (Manitoba, Canada) is the first Lady Bulldog to receive All-American honors since Alessandra Tavoloni earned an honorable mention in 2005. This is the 18th time that a Union player has been named an All-American with Jaques being the eighth different person.

A forward, Jaques led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring this season with 13 goals, six assists and 32 points. She has had five multi-goal games, including a hat trick versus Mountain State (W.Va.) University on Sept. 14.

She was an All-Appalachian Athletic Conference Second Team member and an All-Region XII First Team selection this season while being an All-AAC Third Team selection last year.

Union finished 2007 with a 7-8-2 overall record after the Lady Bulldogs lost the AAC Tournament semifinals. Union complied a 3-3-1 conference record for a fifth-place finish in the AAC.
