DAYTON, Tenn. - The Union women's golf team finished third at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Spring Tournament on Tuesday, putting the Lady Bulldogs third in the AAC regular-season standings.

Union posted a two-day score of 690 to place it behind Milligan (Tenn.) at 669 and Tennessee Wesleyan at 683.

Combining the results from the fall tournament, Milligan captured the regular-season championship with a score of 1,370. Tennessee Wesleyan (1,384) and Union (1,388) finished second and third, respectively, while Reinhardt (Ga.) and Bryan (Tenn.) rounded out the top five.

Union also placed two on the All-Appalachian Athletic Conference Team. Katie Horn (London, Ky.) made the First Team, while Katie Nusz (Mount Washington, Ky.) made the Second Team.

Up next for Union is the 2012 NAIA Direct Qualifier with a national bid to the 2012 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship is on the line. The tournament is slated for April 22-23 at the Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
