BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College men's head soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Jordan Johnson, a native of Richmond, Ky., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog soccer program this fall.

Johnson, a forward, has prepped at Madison Central High School, and also clubs with the Bluegrass Soccer Club.

"I have known Jordan for several years now, and I have seen him grow and mature into a nice player that has a lot of upside," said Brock. "Jordan is good sized kid and is strong in the air, and I think when he gets used to the speed of play, and physicality of the college game, he will be able to help us."

This past season at Madison Central, Johnson earned Honorable Mention honors on the All-Kentucky State Team after scoring 12 goals, while recording eight assists. Currently, Johnson is in his club season with Bluegrass S.C., and so far has scored six goals and notched four assists.

The Bulldogs, members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference, finished last season with a 10-7-2 overall mark.
