GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Union College men's and women's track & field teams took part in the 2012 Depauw (Ind.) Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

For the men, Eric Kinman registered the highest finish of the day, finishing third in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:53.26. Kinman also finished 11th in the 5000-meter run with a mark of 16:34.60. Other top finishes for the men were registered by Andrew Johnston, who was ninth in the pole vault with a leap of 13 feet, 1.50 inches, and Bill White, who placed 14th in the weight throw with a 37 foot, 11.50 inch effort.

On the women's side, Abby Tigue and Kelsey Gregory had solid performances in the shot put, finishing 12th (31 feet, 4.50 inches) and 14th (30 feet, 3.50 inches), respectively.

Union returns to action on Mar. 1, when they take part in the 2012 NAIA Indoor National Championships. The event, which will be held in Geneva, Ohio, will run through Mar. 3.
