BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union celebrated Senior Night in grand style Saturday as the Lady Bulldogs used a huge second half to post a 92-60 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over visiting Columbia (S.C.).

Seniors Kathryn Clark (Frankfort, Ky.), Courtney Thomas (Glasgow, Ky.) and Kara Pile (Fairdale, Ky.) played their final home regular-season contest in a Lady Bulldog uniform, helping Union to its sixth 20-win season ever.

The victory improves Union to 20-7 overall and 11-5 in the AAC, marking the fifth time the Lady Bulldogs hit the 20-win mark under head coach Tim Curry.

The loss drops Columbia to 7-20 overall and 3-13 in conference play.

Clark had career game with a personal-best 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor to go with three assists. Thomas added 11 points and four assists, while Pile had one point but helped out with seven assists and six rebounds.

Junior Lindsey Waters (Stearns, Ky.) led the way with 23 points, just missing a double-double with nine rebounds. She recorded five blocks to give her 73 on the season, tying Brooke Smith's single-season record for the 2009-10 campaign.

Sophomore Alyson Roberts (Baxter, Tenn.) hit four 3-pointers on the night to give her 19 points. She also had six rebounds and three assists. Laura Perkins (Myra, Ky.) almost had a double-double as she recorded nine points and 10 rebounds.

Early on, Union struggled to get its offense going and found itself down 9-4. However, a 14-0 run put the Lady Bulldogs up 18-9 with 13:06 left in the half, and they never looked back. Up 42-32 at the break, Union steadily started padding its lead, using a 29-5 stretch to build a 35-point cushion en route to the 92-60 decision.

For Columbia, Krystal Morissette led the way with 20 points with Kirby Norris and Nikki Craig helping out with 15 and 10 points, respectively.

Union returns to action Wednesday when it pays Point (Ga.) a visit in another AAC contest. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
