BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Nick Holt has signed a letter of intent to join the Bulldog program this fall.

Holt, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, prepped at Deer Park High School.

"Nick is a nice player that could play anywhere on the back line," said Brock. "If he can come into preseason in shape and be ready to prove himself, I really think he could surprise some people with his ability.

"Nick is a quality player and more importantly a quality student.  I really think he is going to be a great ambassador for not only our soccer program, but for Union College, as well"

At Deer Park, Holt played in the midfield for the Wildcat boy's soccer team the last few seasons. This past year, he was named to the CHL First Team as an All-Conference selection, and also garnered an Honorable Mention spot on the All-State Team in Ohio.

The Bulldogs, members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference, went 10-7-1 a season ago.
