BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Need a place to unwind after Thanksgiving dinner and Black Friday shopping? Want to help support a local food pantry? Then, Union has the solution for you.

On Saturday, you can enjoy not one but two basketball games for a mere donation of two can food items. That's it.

The Lady Bulldogs will play host to Berea (Ky.) at 4 p.m., while the Bulldogs will open Appalachian Athletic Conference play against Reinhardt (Ga.) at 6 p.m. Union and Reinhardt met in a thrilling AAC Tournament championship game, which the Bulldogs won 68-67 back in February.

All of the donated food items will be given to the Christian Life Food Pantry in Barbourville.

Union is competing against a number of other colleges and universities to see which institution can collect the most canned food items for local food pantries. Among the other schools participating are Cumberlands (Ky.) and Eastern Kentucky.

The school which collects the most cans will win the Golden Can.
