BEREA, Ky. - Union junior Lindsey Waters poured in her third double-double of the season to help lead the Lady Bulldogs to an 83-65 victory over Alice Lloyd (Ky.) at the Berea Pepsi Classic on Saturday.

Waters (Stearns, Ky.) posted a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds as Union netted its fourth win in a row to improve to 4-1 on the season.

The Lady Bulldogs were in control from the opening tip. Up 30-25 with 4:13 left in the first half, Union closed out the period 13-6 rally to take a 43-31 into the break. The Lady Bulldogs led by as much as 27 points during the second half as it coasted to the 83-65 decision.

After Waters, Amber Taylor (Clinton, Tenn.) and Alyson Roberts (Baxter, Tenn.) paced Union with 13 points each.

For Alice Lloyd (0-8 overall), Ariel Nickell poured in 29 points on 13-of-21 shooting with Gemma Gray chipping in 11.

Union will next play at Indiana Southeast on Tuesday. The tip is set for 7 p.m.
