PIPPA PASSES, Ky. - Junior transfer Lindsey Waters continues to solid start as a Lady Bulldog as she poured in a team-high 24 points in leading Union to a 97-64 victory over host Alice Lloyd (Ky.) Tuesday.

Waters (Stearns, Ky.) has scored 50 points in her first three games at Union to average 16.7 points per game.

With the win, Union improves to 2-1 on the year, while Alice Lloyd falls to 0-6 overall.

Union led 53-33 at the half, and then preceded to outscore the Lady Eagles 44-31 during the second half en route to the 35-point win.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the field and went 12-of-27 (44.4 percent) from behind the 3-point line. Union also connected on 23-of-31 free throws.

Union forced 32 turnovers, recording 21 steals. On the glass, the Lady Bulldogs posted a 32-29 advantage.

After Waters, Kara Pile (Fairdale, Ky.) and Kaley Griffin (McHenry, Ky.) each added 13 points, while Laura Perkins (Myra, Ky.) and Amber Taylor (Clinton, Tenn.) followed with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Friday and Saturday at the Berea Pepsi Classic in Berea, Ky. Union will face host Berea (Ky.) Friday at 8 p.m. before facing Alice Lloyd for the third time in eight days on Saturday at 6 p.m.
