BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- The Union College women's soccer team will host a match in the quarterfinal round of the 2011 Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday at Burch/Nau Field, as the fourth seeded Lady Bulldogs will play fifth seed Montreat. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

In other tournament games - which will all be played Saturday - top seeded Reinhardt takes on eighth seed Bluefield, second seed Tennessee Wesleyan faces seventh seed Bryan, and third seed Milligan hosts sixth seed Columbia. The higher seed is the host team in each contest.

Winners in the quarterfinals move on to the semifinals next week, which will be hosted by the highest seeded team remaining in the tournament.

On the year, Union finished 9-7 overall, 4-3 in the AAC, while Montreat finished 11-6-1 overall, and 3-4 in the league. Earlier this season, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Montreat at home, 2-1 on Oct. 15. In the win, freshman Helen Weber scored the game-winner early in the second half.
