BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union split a tri-match at home, defeating Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Virginia Intermont 3-2 but falling 3-1 to Asbury (Ky.) on Saturday.

Union is now 16-14 overall and 13-1 in conference play.

The Lady Bulldogs have two regular-season matches remaining. On Friday, Union will play at Bryan (Tenn.) at 6:30 p.m. in AAC action. The Lady Bulldogs will then visit conference rival Reinhardt (Ga.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Virginia Intermont pushed Union to the limit, but the Lady Bulldogs pulled out the 22-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-11, 15-11 victory. Lauren McMillan (Corbin, Ky.) posted a career-high 20 kills in the win, while Cat Neumann (Louisville, Ky.) and Caity Merritt (Abingdon, Va.) followed with 15 and 13 kills, respectively. 

Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.) helped out with nine kills and six block assists. Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) recorded 61 assists with Brooke Porter (Louisville, Ky.) registered 26 digs.

Union came out strong against Asbury, but the Lady Eagles rallied back for the 13-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-18 win.

McMillan and Neumann posted 14 and 12 kills, respectively, Yasak had 44 assists, and Porter notched 21 digs.
