CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Christian scored the game-winner in the 3rd minute, as the host Lady Eagles shocked the Union College women's soccer team, 1-0, in soggy conditions on Wednesday night.

With the loss, Union fell to 8-7 on the season, while Cincinnati Christian improved to 7-9 on the year with the victory.

In the contest, the Lady Bulldogs outshot the Lady Eagles, 9-4 overall, but failed to convert on the few chances they had on net in the contest.

CCU, however, cashed in on their first chance one minute into the match on a deflected ball in the box that the Lady Bulldogs were unable to play out. CCU held on over the last 89 minutes of play to earn the thrilling victory.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Saturday at AAC foe Columbia in the team's regular season finale. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
