ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Union College forward Marc Miller was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference's men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 23 the league announced on Monday.

Miller (Winchester, Ky.), a senior, scored a goal and recorded an assist on the week, leading Union to a undefeated 2-0 mark, as the Bulldogs defeated No. 24 Tennessee Wesleyan, 2-1 on Tuesday, and Berea, 4-0 on Saturday. 

Miller's lone goal of the week was a big one, as he scored the eventual game-winner in the 62nd minute against Tennessee Wesleyan in Union's one-score win. The victory by UC snapped TWC's nine-match winning streak, and gave them their first loss of the season in the AAC. Miller ended his week recording an assist on the first goal scored in UC's four goal win at Berea.

For the year, Miller has been one of Union's leaders on offense, scoring seven goals and recording eight assists for a 22 point total. Miller has also scored three game-winning goals on the year, which is the third best mark in the AAC.

Union, 9-6-2 on the year, conclude their regular season schedule on Wednesday when they travel to Virginia Intermont. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
