BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College sophomore Christina Prindle put together a string of strong performances last week to earn the Appalachian Athletic Conference Setter of the Week nod, the league announced Monday.

Union went 2-3 and placed fourth in the conference tournament last week, putting its overall record at 33-14.

The Florence, Ky. native averaged 10.84 assists per game as she registered 206 in the five matches. Prindle posted a career-high 56 assists in the 3-2 loss to UVa-Wise in the second round of the conference tournament.

The 5-foot-6 Prindle also had 10 kills, 31 digs and 14 service aces last week.

On the year, Prindle, who spent the majority of the year as a defensive specialist before moving over to setter due to a season-ending injury to Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.), has 333 assists on the season to go along with her 481 digs, 25 kills and 104 aces.

Union returns to action Friday when it face Mountain State (W.Va.) University in the opening round of the NAIA Region XII Tournament in Bristol, Tenn. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
