PINEVILLE, Ky. - The Union men's and women's golf teams are both in second place after the first round of the Union College Fall Invitational on Monday.

The tournament is being held at Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Ky. The second round will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Bulldogs fired a 299 during the first 18 holes, putting them two strokes behind Cumberland (Tenn.). Reinhardt (Ga.) is third at 301 with Cumberlands (Ky.) close behind with a 302. In all, eight teams are competing.

Individually, Josh Dyer (Lexington, Ky.) and Garrett Bradley (Jellico, Tenn.) lead Union with each firing a 73 to tie them for fifth overall. Dean Hoare of Bryan (Tenn.) leads the field with a 70.

Tim Cooper (Falmouth, Ky.) is tied for 10th with a 74.

In the women's field, Union posted a 354 and trail Indiana Tech, which finished with a 348. Reinhardt is third with a 382, and Bryan rounds out the field with a 404.

Tiffany Willis (Berea, Ky.) paced the Lady Bulldogs with an 87 to tie her for third. Megan Garrison of Indiana Tech leads the field with a 78. Kayla Horn (London, Ky.) followed with an 88, while Brittany Zins (Cincinnati, Ohio) helped out with an 89.
