BRISTOL, Va. - Junior Cat Neumann hammered home a team-high 10 kills as Union collected a 3-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over host Virginia Intermont on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs steadily put away the Lady Cobras, winning 25-10, 25-20, 25-23. The win improves Union's record to 8-11 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Virginia Intermont is now 6-6 overall and 3-4 in the AAC.

After Neumann (Louisville, Ky.), Lauren McMillan (Corbin, Ky.) added six kills with Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) notching 25 assists. Brooke Porter (Louisville, Ky.) recorded 14 digs in the win.

At the net, Chelsea Kirschman (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) registered three solo blocks while Caity Merritt (Abingdon, Va.) had one solo block and three block assists.

Union returns to action Saturday when it faces Berea (Ky.) at 12 p.m. and Indiana Southeast at 2 p.m. in New Albany, Ind.
