BRISTOL, Tenn. - Union College was eliminated from the 2007 Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament, played at King College in Bristol, Tenn., Saturday morning when Bryan (Tenn.) College handed the Lady Bulldogs a 3-1 defeat in a losers' bracket contest.

After the match, Union's record moved to 33-14 and Bryan, 21-13 overall, advanced in the losers' bracket to play UVa-Wise at 11 a.m.

Union, the tournament's top seed, took the first game, 30-18, but momentum swung in favor of Bryan, the No. 3 seed, for the next three games. Bryan won 30-25, 30-22 and 30-24 for the victory.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Deena O'Hare (Perry, Canada) with 17 kills to go with Stephanie Pateman (Weyburn, Canada) and her 11 kills. Autumn Combs (Florence, Ky.) added ten kills. Christina Prindle (Florence, Ky.) recorded 39 assists while Tracie Phillips (Bowling Green, Ky.) was credited with 16 digs.

Next for the Lady Bulldogs is the NAIA Region XII Tournament next weekend. The bracket will be announced Monday.
