MARTIN, Tenn. - A big third quarter broke the game open for host UT Martin as Union fell 63-0 on Thursday to the NCAA FCS squad.

Despite struggling offensively in the first half, the Bulldogs (1-2 overall) kept the Skyhawks within reach as they trailed 21-0 at the break. UT Martin, though, reeled off 28 third-quarter points to extend the margin to 49-0 en route to the 63-0 decision.

UT Martin (1-1 overall) tallied 570 yards in total offense while limiting Union to 151 yards. Field position was a major factor in the outcome with the Bulldogs' average starting spot was their own 22 and the Skyhawks beginning their drives on own 47.

Three Bulldog quarterbacks combined to go 10-of-23 passing for 82 yards, and Xavier Robinson (Gainesville, Ga.) led the ground game with 36 yards on seven carries.

Defensively, Bert Brown (Daytona, Fla.) and Darrin Greene (Cherrylog, Ga.) led the way with both recording seven total tackles. Brown also picked off a pass, giving him two interceptions on the season and six for his career. Josh Nixon (Pensacola, Fla.) also intercepted a pass.
