BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College women's soccer head coach Camilla Mendes has announced the Lady Bulldogs' 2011 schedule. Mendes, who enters her first season as head coach, looks to improve on UC's 12-6-1 finish from a season ago.

Union will open their 2011 campaign on Aug. 26th at Burch/Nau Field when they host the Lady Bulldog Classic with a tilt against Cumberland University beginning at 2:30 p.m. Union will play their second game of the Classic two days later on Aug. 28th, taking on NCAA Division II foe Barton at 1 p.m.

After back-to-back road games at Campbellsville (Sept. 6), and St. Catharine (Sept. 13), the Lady Bulldogs return home on Sept. 17 to open their 2011 Appalachian Athletic Conference slate against Reinhardt at 2 p.m. UC then hosts rival University of the Cumberlands on Sept. 20th, before venturing out on the road for four straight matches (three of those matches will be against AAC opponents).

The Lady Bulldogs then host four straight opponents to end their home regular season slate. The programs annual homecoming match will take place on Oct. 15 against Montreat, while senior day will take place during the squad's home finale against Union University on Oct. 22.

The Lady Bulldogs then end the year with consecutive road matches at Cincinnati Christian (Oct. 26), and new AAC member Columbia College (Oct. 29).  The 2011 AAC Women's Soccer Tournament will begin on Nov. 5.
