KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the first time in program history, Union placed two student-athletes on the NAIA Men's Tennis All-American Team as Nicolas Ernst and Yvon Haessig both made the Second Team, the NAIA announced Tuesday.

Thirty-two student-athletes were named to the First and Second Teams, while 21 others were named honorable mention selections.

This marks the second year in a row Ernst (Rietheim, Germany) made the NAIA All-American Second Team as the Bulldog senior received the honor in 2010.

Ernst is the two-time Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year, while Haessig (Vancouver, Canada), a freshman, made the All-AAC Team.

The duo helped the Bulldogs to a No. 10 ranking, an 18-5 overall record, a 4-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference mark and the program's fifth regular-season conference championship in a row.

The Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament as well.
