MOBILE, Ala. - Senior Nicole Bistline was named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in women's tennis recently, the NAIA announced.

The Frankfort, Ky., native is one of 126 women's tennis players to receive the honor.

Grace (Ind.) and Huntington (Ind.) lead all institutions with five members each.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Bistline helped Union to a 2-9 overall record and a 2-2 Appalachian Athletic Conference mark.
