BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union College swimming coach Rafael Forti has announced that Brett Oliver will join the Bulldog program this fall. Brett, a senior, will transfer into Union from the University of the Cumberlands.

"Brett is a great addition to our program," said Forti. "He brings in many years of experience in international competitive swimming and he will provide an immediate positive impact in our program. I am excited he has chosen Union to finish his studies."

Oliver, a native of Carrying Pace, Ontario, Canada,  plans to swim freestyle and backstroke for the Bulldogs.

While at Cumberlands Oliver was an NAIA Relay All-American, and during his high school years in Canada, he was an Alberta Summer Swimming Association Age Group Provincial Champion. Oliver prepped at East Northumberland Secondary School, and clubbed with the Nepean Kanata Barracudas.

Oliver plans to earn a degree in criminal justice from Union.
