CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The 10th-ranked Bulldogs advanced to the semifinal round of the NAIA Direct Qualifier Tournament, while the Union women's tennis team lost 5-0 to Xavier (La.) on Friday.

The Bulldogs (16-4 overall) notched a 6-0 decision over Reinhardt (Ga.). Union will face Campbellsville (Ky.) Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinal round.

The match is scheduled for 12 p.m.

The tournament is being held in Chattanooga, Tenn.

In the men's match, Union swept the doubles matches, winning 8-1, 8-0 and by forfeit.

Reinhardt forfeited one of the singles matches, while Nicolas Ernst won 6-0, 6-3 over Justin Wagner and Fredrik Graaner notched a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Nahum Vigo-Fas.

In the women's match, Union had to forfeit a doubles and a singles match to it behind 2-0 right away. Xavier won the other two doubles matches by the score of 8-5 and 8-0. In the one singles match that was finished, Nichole DeLoach defeated Meredith Dambrus 6-0, 6-1.

The Lady Bulldogs end the season with a 2-9 overall record.
