BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – In the season’s last NAIA Region XII Women’s Soccer rankings, Union College was fifth, however the Lady Bulldogs will not be a part of the four-team Region XII Tournament this weekend.

Union suffered a season-ending 2-0 loss Friday in the Appalachian Athletic Conference semifinals against eventual tournament champs, No. 15 King (Tenn.) College. The Lady Bulldogs and Montreat (N.C.) College tied 3-3 in their AAC first-round contest on Tuesday, but Union advanced after they won the shootout, 5-3.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the year 7-8-2 and 3-3-1 in the AAC.

The top three in the rankings remain the same with King first, followed by Covenant (Ga.) College and Tennessee Wesleyan College. Asbury (Ky.) College, from the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference jumped from fifth to fourth this week.
