MONTREAT, N.C. -- Union's Turrell Morris led all scorers with 25 points, as the Bulldogs coasted to a dominating 85-67 win over Montreat on Saturday evening in Appalachian Athletic Conference action.

With the victory, the Bulldogs improved to 9-9 overall on the year and 3-1 in the AAC. Montreat fell to 5-11 overall and 1-3 in the AAC with the loss.

To start the second half, Montreat stayed within distance of the Unon lead at the beginning of the period, but the Bulldogs went on a 15-3 run that gave them a commanding 55-39 lead at the 10 minute mark. The sophomore forward also shot 7-for-8 from the free throw line to help the Bulldogs shoot 74 percent from the charity stripe in the game (20-for-27).
