BEREA, Ky. -- Union's Ian Davis led all Bulldog scorers with 18 points, as UC knocked off Berea, 83-77 on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the 2010 Roland Wierwille Classic.

With the win, Union improved to 5-6 overall, while Berea fell to 7-5 with the loss.

In the first half, Union held a slim 40-39 lead going into the locker room for intermission. Forward Cody Miller led the Bulldog offense with eight points, while Berea's Darrin Dorsey had 14 points to lead the way.

In the second half, Union opened up a six point lead (53-47) with 13:15 remaining in the period and never looked back after that. Berea got within a point (55-54) at the 10 minute mark, but failed to take a lead the rest of the period, as the Bulldogs eventually opened a insurmountable 72-63 lead with five minutes remaining in the contest.

Overall, Davis scored his 18 points on an impressive 9-for-11 shooting performance from the floor, all of which came off the bench. He also pulled down eight rebounds in the winning effort.

Meanwhile, three other Bulldogs notched double-digit scoring nights. Miller ended with 14 points, while Turrell Morris and Payton Ponzer each scored 13 points. Morris also snatched nine rebounds, while Ponzer pulled down six boards and recorded three assists.

For Berea, Dorsey was the game's leading scorer with 31 points.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, when they take on Ohio Christian at the Zweifel Classic at Asbury  College. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
