BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union returns to Burch/Nau Field on Saturday to play host to the ninth-ranked UVa-Wise Cavaliers. Saturday is also Homecoming at Union, and the game is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 p.m.

Union is coming off a tough 28-7 loss at NCAA Division III Frostburg State (Md.) University, while UVa-Wise is fresh off a 43-10 win over Mid-South Conference East rival Pikeville (Ky.) College.

Union leads the series with a 5-2 record and has never lost to the Cavaliers at home, going 3-0 at Burch/Nau Field.

UVa-Wise won last year's meeting, posting a 21-6 decision on Nov. 11, 2006, in Wise, Va.

Bulldog senior quarterback Joey Waters (McDonough, Ga.) will be gunning to break the single-season passing record as he is less than 400 yards away. He is also less than 400 yards away from becoming the first player in program history to pass for more than 7,000 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, Union senior linebacker Patrick O'Neal (Lula, Ga.) has been racking up the tackles and is closing in on the single-season and career tackles records. He has 97 tackles on the year and 344 for his career, needing 39 and 49 more, respectively, to break both records.
